Please join the SSPI Mid-Atlantic Chapter for a virtual panel discussion on the effects and impacts of COVID-19 on the space industry.  Our panelists will join us to analyze the effects of the crisis on everything from satellite launch and operation to supply chain and hardware challenges to space customer market trends, all with a view toward what the post-COVID-19 “New Normal” may mean to the industry and beyond.

David Liddle

David Liddle, President of Liddle International Group and President and CEO of The Deondo Company, is an entrepreneur with his roots stemming from his creative broadcasting background. Originally an on-air sports personality, Liddle took his love of televised sports into the satellite industry and subsequently as an entrepreneur.
Mr. Liddle’s 30-year satellite career has encompassed management or sales roles with companies in the transportable uplink and remote production industry; with satellite operators GTE Spacenet and Comsat; Teleport Operators Verestar and USEI and manufacturers such as Comtech EF Data, RevGo and antenna manufacturer Holkirk.
Mr. Liddle’s first venture was in the creation and establishment of a regional cable television network devoted to the tourism industry in Florida in 1989. After successfully building out a large base of cable subscribers and selling his stake, Liddle ventured back into the satellite industry, where he has been part of executive teams leading companies globally and within North America with an emphasis on products to DTH providers, cable programmers, managed service providers and live sports producers. Liddle also oversaw several companies’ US Government business organizations at Comtech EF Data and Ultisat.
In addition to his day-to-day duties as The Deondo Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Liddle International Group continues to establish international companies with business goals in the United States. Liddle also continues his love of televised sports as a Play-by-Play announcer for many high school football, basketball and baseball games for several programming services.

 

 

Brad Grady

Mr. Grady has been involved in the Satellite Communications industry since 2005, joining NSR in 2010. Through his 10 years at NSR, he has risen from a Junior Analyst to NSR’s Principal Analyst for Mobility Markets, focusing on Commercial and Government SATCOM Markets. In that role, he leads NSR's research on "anything that moves." He leads a group of NSR Analysts focused on Aeronautical and Land-Mobile opportunities, and authors NSR's Maritime SATCOM Markets, Energy SATCOM Markets, and Government and Military Satellite Communications. He regularly provides his insights and analysis to NSR’s single-client consulting practice, and is also a regular contributor to leading industry publications and forums.

Before joining NSR, Mr. Grady served as the Sustainable Development Projects Coordinator Intern with the Global VSAT Forum where he worked regularly with the GVF Secretariat and the Regulatory Working Group on many of the forum’s initiatives. Working with the Regulatory Working Group, Mr. Grady helped develop and implement various RWG initiatives aimed at protecting satellite spectrum, increasing awareness of satellite services, and working to promote regulatory reforms across the globe.

Mr. Grady holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park where his research focused on renewable/alternative energies, Information Communication Technologies and the Satellite Communications Industry.  He works in NSR’s Washington DC office, with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.

 

 

Jing Li

Jing Li is a senior analyst of corporate strategy and development at SES, the world’s largest satellite operator.  Jing provides senior management with key insights on a wide variety of critical business issues.  She specializes in corporate strategic planning, competitive strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, business and customer intelligence, spectrum policy, and other regulatory affairs.  Through numerous cross-functional projects, most recently U.S. C-band spectrum clearing, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to consistently bring different perspectives and stakeholders together to deliver business value.

Prior to joining SES in 2017, Jing served as the principal market intelligence analyst at Intelsat, where she delivered valuable market insights and competitive intelligence for CapEx planning, product and business development, sales, and marketing.  Jing holds an M.A. in International Economic Affairs with a High Achievement Fellowship from the George Washington University, and a specialization in Business Strategy from the University of Virginia.  She is currently a Level III candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.

 

 

Arnie Christianson

Arnie Christianson is VP of Aero Service Delivery for SES and manages SES’s commercial aeronautical mobility data portfolio.

Prior to leading the Aero program and service team, Arnie was Sr. Program Manager for the SES Mobility Market Solutions Center, standing up and coordinating aero, maritime, and remote fixed data projects.  Before concentrating on mobility, Arnie managed the SES Occasional Use team, coordinating large-scale special projects such as the FIFA World Cup, Brazil Olympics, and high-profile spot-news and sporting events.  

Prior to joining SES, Arnie was Sr. Manager of Technical Systems for the CNN Satellite Desk based in Atlanta, where he executed coverage plans for major news stories and won numerous industry awards for technology innovation.
