The Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for corporate communications, executive and internal communications, all marketing, advertising, media relations and conference events with an aim at increasing brand awareness and creating customer market-facing, revenue-generating opportunities. 

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Policy, Communications, or a minimum of five years’ experience Government Marketing and Corporate communications in the Aerospace and Satellite Defense industry
  • Knowledge of satellite, telecoms, media or other communications sectors
  • Ability to manage budgets and plan/organize numerous marketing/communication events
  • Ability to evaluate marketing data evaluating metrics of performance
  • Well organized, self-starting individual with high ethical standards
  • Ability to meet short notice deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Ability to think strategically, displays excellent judgment and makes sound decisions

Essential Job Functions:

  • Overseas all corporate communications, executive and internal communications, marketing, advertising, press and media relations, events, branding and social media campaigns with an aim at increasing brand awareness and market-facing, revenue-generating opportunities
  • Evaluates key business and organizational challenges relating to Marketing and Communications and develops solutions to address those challenges
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the annual Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications Strategy
  • Responsible for an annual marketing and communications budget in excess of $1M
  • Directs production of radio, television and print promotional products and opportunities  
  • Develops communications initiatives with the objective of increasing awareness of U.S. Government (USG) market activities across parent Company  
  • Develops new and innovative approaches to delivering focused messages to customers and Congressional audiences by using social media (webinars, symposiums and campaigns)
  • Promotes the company’s visibility with various media and press engagements by preparing top level messages, managing the CEO’s media relationships, identifying newsworthy stories and pitching to appropriate media: print, radio, television and Internet
  • Mentors/manages staff to ensure organizational/department goals are achieved
  • Develops and implements corporate external communications policy
  • Responsible for the creation and publication of the Company’s newsletter
